One weekend, two events, all in Olympic City, USA. 


Join us for the 2018 'Unite and Ignite' SportsWomen Power Summit co-hosted by University of Colorado, Colorado Springs 'Center for Critical Sports Studies' and Wrestle Like A Girl.

This evening summit will explore some of the most critical issues in sports including: Human Rights and Sports, The Representation of Women in Sports, Equality in Sports Governance and Athlete Activism.

The goal of WLAG is to empower young female athletes through the sport of wrestling. Athletes learn technical wrestling and develop championship skills like goal setting, anxiety management and confidence building with an emphasis through hard work.  Every camper and clinic attendee will receive a ‘Wrestle Like A Girl’ handbook, which will support the learning of nutrition, hydration and sport psychology.

Camp Philosophy

Join us for our FIRST EVER Wrestle Like A Girl UFC camp! For one day at the new, state-of-the-art UFC Performance Institute, we will teach the tech technical wrestling, elements of the elite athlete mindset and get a chance to have Q&A with UFC fighters!

The Wrestle Like A Girl Empowerment Camps and Clinics are directed by the WLAG organization, and can include clinicians who are Olympic and World medalists, as well as All-American wrestlers. Wrestlers from the United States Women’s Wrestling National team will serve as counselors at all Empowerment Clinics, as well as regional all-star talent located across the country. The philosophy of our camps is to provide a FUNSUPPORTIVEENGAGING and POSITIVE environment for girls to learn wrestling and develop technique. We work to develop the whole athlete and are using high caliber role models to do it!

camp or clinic will have a support network of high caliber national team athletes and regional staff who will guide athletes as they develop their skills. We emphasize the EMPOWERMENT and INCLUSION of each athlete and educate them on technical skill development AND proper nutrition, hydration and the implementation of mental skills training. Our curriculum covers everything from basic wresting fundamentals: Stance, position, takedowns, escapes and exposures to more advanced technique and strategy such as: Set-ups, finishes, and drilling. They will be able to develop championship skills like goal-setting, with an emphasis through hard work. Each camper will get the ‘Wrestle Like A Girl’ sport journal that will serve as a resource for mental skills development and training and nutrition tracker.

Clinic Schedule For Both Days
